Dude, that is CLAY soil! Avocados like well draining soil. Point is, you're going to flood that tree and kill it. Also, there is absolutely no need, other than some compost, to feed that newly planted tree so much fertilizer. This tree definitely did not survive.

Hi. N. Illinois here. I have a question about a wild soft maple that I transferred 5 years ago. This tree is looking very healthy but is circled by shoots that are approximately 1 to 2 inches in diameter. What is a safe way to remove the shoots to free up the main trunk? Thanks

Where I can order hi potting soil. I leave in South Carolina?

Cutting rootstock parallel to the ground impedes water runoff. I've seen this cause some very serious problems.

A lot of my garden is containers. That is the only way I can absolutely protect it against rodents. I do have raised beds but plant shallow root plants and have hardware cloth, weed barrier and cardboard to keep the rodents out. Ghost pepper spray gets a 👍.

Can we propogate from summer trimming? I would like to expand without buying

I am fascinated by graphing and i am just curious of course and this may be a silly question but is it possible for the grafts to eventually grow out? Can you graft different fruits on any tree? Do they have to be the same kind of fruit trees? Can you put an apple and pear tree? I currently have grown from seed a red pear tree and she is tiny but an adorable little seedlings. I can't wait till she is big enough to graft. This is a tree i want to stay inside my house in my livingroom as a plant, I really hope the tree will be fine for a few years inside. I will be taking the tree inside and outside to get at least 6 hours of sun everyday unless its to cold. As it does hrow i want to try graphting but i am so worried it would kill the tree?
